Two Lights for Tomorrow

"Celebrating Paul Revere's Ride"
April 18 & 19th

It is a nationwide initiative to commence the celebration of the 250th birthday of the United States of America. The famous ride of Paul Revere occurred on the overnight of April 18-19, 1775. Two Lights for Tomorrow commemorates that famous ride and uses the imagery of that shining light today as a uniting call to action for all U.S. citizens to celebrate and serve.
Starting April 15, 2025, the event is calling for two lights to be displayed in every statehouse in the nation. It will be a reminder that the visual of a light shining out in the darkness on Revere’s ride is not just something that mattered then; it’s something that matters today, and for our collective tomorrow.

See a mock Paul Revere's Ride on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at WF High School, 6:15 p.m. - Just prior to the WFHS Pops Concert. *Remember - There will be a picnic from 5 - 6:30 p.m. first. Then, look for the two-lights lantern in City Hall for the month of April and 4th grade elementary school students colored pictures displayed in the old bank building window across the street, 118 E Main Street. To complete your "call to action", you are invited to come to Maasch Community Park on Earth Day, April 22, at 3:30 p.m. for a little clean-up time with the Weyauwega Area Historical Society.
