Horse & Buggy Days is here! Enjoy a day of fun, food and take in a parade, too! Help Weyauwega celebrate its 62nd Horse & Buggy Days heritage.

This is a RAIN or SHINE community event.

  • Date: Saturday, September 9th, 2023.
  • Time: Event runs from 8am-11pm.
  • Kiddie Parade: Line-up is at the corner of East Street and E. Main Street across from the Refinery Church. Time is 11:45am. The Kiddie Parade starts at Noon, so the littles are finished and can watch the Horse & Buggy Day Parade.
  • Horse & Buggy Days Parade: Line-up is from 10am-11am at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds. The Horse & Buggy Days Parade begins to leave the Fairgrounds at 12NOON. Parade will continue down East Main Street through downtown this year! Following the 2022 Christmas Parade route.
  • NOTE: Due to the number of families and guests who will be assembling along the Parade route and Main Street, NO PARKING will be allowed on Main Street as of 8am Saturday, September 9th.
  • PARKING & HANDICAP PARKING: Parking is available in North and South City lots and the streets around the downtown area.
  • Parade Registration: Participants can register at the line-up at the Waupaca County Fairgrounds the same day, before the parade 10:00am-11:30am.
  •           FYI: Each year, Parade Participants are asked if they would like to go to the Crossroads Care facility to give the nursing home residents a “mini parade.” We hope you would like to be a part of this.

  • Vendors set up at both ends of the downtown area.
  • Activities: See the attached poster above.
  • Food & Beverage: VFW Pancake Breakfast 8:30am-11am. Scouts Brat Fry 11am-gone. Historical Society’s Pie & Ice Cream Social in the Community Center, City Hall 1pm-gone. Picklebellies Pub offering Leaky Tiki BBQ starting at 11am. The Refinery Church holding a FREE lunch from 11am-gone at the Church (301 E. Main).
  • Contests: Beard & Mustache Contest – register at Main Street Klippers, downtown. Judging to be completed at 2:30pm. Cheese Curd Eating Contest, Main Street. Contest to commence at 3:00pm.
