  • TICKETS: $5 per person. Ages 5 and under – FREE.

The Weyauwega Area Historical Society (WAHS) exists to preserve the history of the City of Weyauwega and surrounding areas. We collect & display artifacts in Weyauwega City Hall. We are docents at the Little Red Schoolhouse Museum, located at Maasch City Park, 411 W. High Street, Weyauwega. And we hold various educational and entertaining events throughout the year.

King Dave & Queen Mary Werth, our royalty at Horse & Buggy Days, Sept 9th, 2023, held in downtown Weyauwega.

The WAHS is invested in the annual Weyauwega Horse & Buggy Days:

  • Setting up displays in City Hall and area businesses.
  • Hosting their Pie & Ice Cream Social.
  • Giving historic tours on the fabulous “People Mover.”
  • Helping to host the Friday Royalty Breakfast and entertainment with the current King & Queen and past kings and queens of Horse & Buggy Days.
  • Taking the current King & Queen on tour of the local Weyauwega and Fremont elementary schools to talk about the history of Horse & Buggy Days and Weyauwega.
All are welcome to attend our monthly meetings.

WAHS Meetings are held at Weyauwega Municipal Building at 2 pm on the 4th Tuesday of every month. Everyone is welcome.

  • The WAHS has also created a book of the History of Weyauwega. Please contact us to purchase your copy.
  • The WAHS also produces a quarterly Newsletter called “PasTimes.” Have you signed up to receive it?
